About the Start Up Citywide Programme

So, what is it about the Start Up Citywide service which has attracted over 4000 parents to become members and given hundreds the confidence and skills which have helped them to secure meaningful, enjoyable and sustainable jobs?

It is probably our committed team of professional, caring support workers (Coaches), the wide choice of courses available, a personalised service which is close to you and free childcare and transport to remove those little things that get in the way. But most importantly, it is because of committed parents just like you who have wanted to make things different .

Start Up Citywide will give you the confidence and skills to find a rewarding job. Come to us with commitment and desire to make things different and leave the rest to us.

How does it work?

From the outset, you will be paired with a fully qualified coach who will support you on a one-to-one basis to help you make the right decisions about training and work. From the beginning, Start Up Citywide will offer a range of courses, supported by childcare and transport, and you will soon build up a raft of qualifications offered at a pace to suit you.

These nationally recognised qualifications are delivered in areas where there are real job opportunities at the end and by linking with North Staffordshire's JET service you will be supported to access employment opportunities which will fit with your needs.

Local to you

Kingsland Children's Centre - one of the many venues Start Up Citywide operates fromOur coaches (support workers) are local to you, and work from Children's Centres across the city so they are never far away and lots of the activity will be available in friendly, welcoming venues which are nearby. Best of all, all of the services are offered free!

So, make that decision and come and join us at Start Up Citywide -  North Staffordshire's "Most Inspirational Educator" (LearnMore Awards). Visit Your Support Workers for contact details.
