Congratulations and Good Luck to Ben and all our Customers who are off to Uni! YMCA North Staffordshire is committed to supporting young people and their families to reach their potential. That's why we are thrilled to see our customers achieve and Ben, along with several others are off to university! Ben moved into the YMCA after a unsettled period at home. By Ben's own admission, he has had his ups and downs but after a year and a half with us has matured and has become an increasingly confident person wanting to achieve more and more. Ben has expressed his thanks for the support and development opportunities he has received while living with us. The YMCA has become much more than a roof over his head! Ben has been supported and encouraged to continue with his education and is now progressing on to further studying at the University of Keele with support of a Foyer Bursary. We wish Ben, and all our other customers, the best with their studies.

Below: Staff at the peak of Ben Nevis

YMCA North Staffordshire Staff On Top of the World... well almost! YMCA staff took on the challenge of climbing Britain's highest peak, Ben Nevis to raise awareness for our charity. At 4,409ft it certainly proved a big challenge but after a long journey and a great night's sleep, despite a heavy early morning shower the weather cleared and up we went! David Williams, Business Development Manager, was first to the top with the rest of the staff following closely behind. It was tough going but 10 members of our staff reached the peak and everyone had a fantastic weekend. A special shout out to our Deputy Employment and Skills Manager, Tina Cotton, for her achievements!
